Seclude is close to many beautiful and special places in the Whitsundays. Here are a few of them.
A natural fresh water lagoon is surrounded by an amphitheater of rock formations. Filling the large rock pool is a natural waterfall that runs all year round but is spectacular in the wet season.
The falls are an easy 4Km bike ride ride away along a nearly level picturesque country road where you will pass farmland dotted with Lemon Myrtle, Lychee and Sugar Cane crops.
We have complimentary bike loan available at Seclude as well as picnic hampers for purchase if desired (Cedar Creek Falls is a perfect place to have a picnic with your partner). The main swimming hole and falls are at the base near the falls entrance with walking trails that lead to another swimming hole at the top of the falls. Restrooms are provided at the main entrance to the falls.
Conway Beach (about a 20 minute drive away) is another worthwhile local attraction. The beach is largely unspoilt by tourist development and at times you could be the only ones sitting on the sand at the beach. A small hamlet, along with Wilsons Beach, Conway Beach is a popular spot for fishing and wind-powered sports such as kite surfing and land kiting. The two kilometre sandy stretch of Conway Beach is situated at the mouth of the Proserpine River. BBQs are provided at the foreshore.
If you are looking at visiting Airlie Beach, it can be reached by car in about 1/2 an hour from Seclude. Vibrant, busy and full of all the things you would expect in a tourist town. There are many restaurants, bars, fast food and tourist shops in the main strip. Just off the main street there is a large swimming pool (the lagoon) that is extremely popular.
